We are thrilled to kick off our 33rd Season with a great lineup of programming and are thankful for your continued support and participation. With this new season come a couple of staffing changes.

Sophie Rich is stepping into the role of WCT’s new Education Coordinator! We are excited for her to share all of her ideas, energy, and enthusiasm with the community.

“I am thrilled to become a bigger part of Watertown Children’s Theatre and ACA as the Theatre Education Coordinator. Over the past two years, my work with Watertown Children’s Theatre — from directing the Junior Players to performing in The Main Street Kids Club — has been filled with joy, discovery, and a wonderful sense of community. I look forward to teaching, learning from, and growing alongside the students and families of WCT.” – Sophie

Megan Otteson (Mo) is stepping down from her current role of Production Stage Manager to pursue a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. We are excited to have her with us for our fall productions and wish her the very best in all of her future endeavors.

“WCT has been my home for most of my life, and I have been immensely lucky to have been part of such an amazing community. I am excited to see what the next few years bring me as I pursue my M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education in hopes to become an elementary school reading specialist. Even though Les Mis will be my last show as PSM at WCT, I will most definitely still be involved in the WCT community. No matter where the coming years take me, WCT will always be with me and I will always consider WCT my home.” – Mo (Megan O)

Beginning in December, Deidre Purcell will continue her role as Publicity Specialist and take on the Production Stage Management position. Deidre joined WCT in 2005 as the Production Stage Manager and we are thrilled to have her return to the role.

“I’m so thrilled to be returning to WCT as Production Stage Manager. I’m lucky to have found a new clinical position with a schedule that will allow me to balance my love of theatre in my daily life with my new work in psychotherapy.” – Deidre
