AKC Fund

Due to the AKC Fund’s generous funding since 2007, WCT has been able to produce both the Play Factory program and My Story. Both programs have grown tremendously over the past four years, becoming WCT treasures. The programs have provided nearly 200 students the opportunity to rehearse and perform non-musical, literature-based plays, as well as write and perform their own works based on their personal experiences. In addition, approximately five hundred local students, including those from in-need communities, have attended the performances free of charge. Our organization, students, and families are grateful for the AKC’s support in helping to launch this valuable program.

Watertown Community Foundation

The Watertown Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization established in 1979. The Watertown Community Foundation promotes philanthropy, receives and administers charitable gifts and invests in programs that improve the quality of life in Watertown by promoting charity, education and culture in the community.

The Watertown Community Foundation encourages philanthropy at all levels, provides donor services and responds to the ever-changing needs and opportunities in the community.

The Watertown Community Foundation has supported WCT by awarding us with grant funding for specific programs, like WCTAP.

Watertown Savings Bank

Each year for its Customer Choice Awards, Watertown Savings Bank sets aside $50,000 that is distributed according to voting results. Every qualified non-profit that earns at least one percent of the total votes received is awarded funds. To qualify the organization must serve the local community in some way and have 501(c)(3) status. Religious and political organizations are ineligible. Charitable organizations within a church community are eligible.

WCT is a Customer Choice award winner for 2012! Thank you to the WSB customers whose votes helped us win an award. Each year WSB customers may vote for their favorite local, non-profit organization – anyone with a Watertown Savings Bank account can vote, and each customer gets one vote. Voting has closed for 2012, but be sure to vote next year!

GoodSearch

The goal of GoodSearch is to help as many nonprofits and schools as possible. They want to help fund the great works they are doing. And, as important as the money, GoodSearch allows people to feel connected to organizations helping to make the world a better place and support them every single day.

GoodSearch is a search engine which donates 50 percent of its sponsored search revenue to the charities and schools designated by its users. You use GoodSearch exactly as you would any other search engine. According to the GoodSearch website, 100 people using GoodSearch twice a day can raise as much as $730 a year! Each time you search the Internet, a penny is donated to Watertown Children’s Theatre!
